New Five Counties RQT Network Dates Announced

Starting in January we will be running a new network for Recently Qualified Teachers (RQTs). The purpose of this network will be to provide further support and a local professional learning community for teachers in their second year of teaching, who have missed out on the new ECT programmes. Some RQTs were involved in the early roll-out of these last year, but have missed out on the consolidation of that learning in practice this year. Most RQTs have not had any access to the ECF.

The Five Counties RQT network will be led by experienced facilitators and will provide expert input building on the content of the Early Career Framework, underpinned by a focus on improving provision to reduce disadvantage gaps. Sub-groups will enable communities of RQTs working in particular age phases and types of setting to meet together to discuss teaching in their contexts.

The Five Counties RQT network will meet twice per term after school, on alternating days to increase access. RQTs may join an individual meeting or aim to attend on a regular basis.

Hold the dates: please forward to your RQTs the first two network dates, in Term 3 and the link to register below
