About this event

Webinars in this series will take place on Wednesdays from 8 June-13 July between 3.30-4.30pm

Session 3 - Behaviours that challenge

Tony Sammon has over 32 years experience across a broad range of education settings.

He has been a SENDCO in a mainstream secondary, a Pastoral Deputy Head and a Headteacher of Specialist SEMH school and outreach service.

Now a senior Teamteach trainer and working with Trauma Informed Schools UK among other things

This session will explore those behaviours that challenge us and why.

What are the roots of these behaviours and what practical strategies can we adopt?

We will cover:

Is all behaviour communication?

Why some children don't like praise

Why some children are cruel to others and what impact this has on us.

How do we respond to behaviours that challenge and how this can sometimes escalate it.

How can we look after the adults in our schools, so they don't burn out.

Other sessions in the series cover Inclusion, Speech, Language & Communication, Attachment, Autism, Behaviours that challenge and Trauma Informed Schools

Dates and topics will be confirmed to everyone who registers. You are not required to attend all the sessions, you may design your own bespoke programme.
