Led by a sector expert, this programme will explore and help you to understand what sensory needs and sensory processing is. It will look in-depth at the different sensory systems and possible reasons for sensory difficulties with the children and young people we work with.
Aimed at all school staff, from all phases, the day will be a mix of theory and practical ideas to help you understand how it feels to have sensory needs and how small changes in the classroom can make the world of difference to children and young people with sensory needs.
This day will be particularly useful for classroom teachers, support staff and TAs, SENCos and school leaders.
