FREE February conference – Calling all teachers and other interested school staff!
We are delighted to announce our FREE February conference, which focuses on SEND and disadvantage.

The conference is primarily aimed at class teachers from all phases and sizes of schools, but all are welcome to join us for the day. Lunch and refreshments are included.
We are looking forward to being joined by a group of highly regarded speakers starting with Professor Lee Elliot-Major, the country’s first Professor of Social Mobility. Appointed by the University of Exeter as a global leader in the field, his work is dedicated to improving the prospects of disadvantaged young people. As a Professor of Practice he focuses on research that has direct impact on policy and practice, working closely with schools, universities, employers and policy makers.
In addition to these, there will also be a choice of workshops which are particularly aimed at supporting SEND learners in mainstream settings. These are as follows:
- Identifying learners with SEND; or
- Understanding behaviours that challenge
- Effective use of support staff; or
- Creating an inclusive learning environment
Conference attendees will be invited to a free follow on Inclusive classroom webinar series for those working with SEND pupils in mainstream schools. This will consist of a series of five twilight webinars as follows:
- 22 March 2023- How we learn
- 27 April 2023 – Inclusive pedagogy
- 23 May 2023- Inclusive lessons
- 14 June 2023 – The role of the teacher
- Term 6 date to follow – Subject specific inclusive lessons
