Induction tutors – are there changes to your ECTs or mentors this term?
As the ECT and mentor programmes progress through the year, there are often times when ECT and mentor details change. Many of these changes can cause an interruption to programme access if they are not updated and people are notified: this would include changing details on ECT Manager, as well as notifying us at Five Counties and where relevant, changing details on the DfE portal. Aspects that would need updating could be things like changes to a:
- Name
- Contract type (part time/full time)
- Swapped mentors
- ECT or mentor has left the school
- Maternity/paternity leave (pause)
- Extended leave of absence (pause)
- ECT requiring an extension
- ECT on a support plan
