Sian Kinder began as a newly qualified teacher at Mangotsfield CE Primary School before moving on to various leadership roles in other schools in both South Glos and Bristol. Having been a lead teacher for maths and more able, she has had the pleasure of working with a wide range of schools and professionals for many years. Sian returned to Mangotsfield to lead the work of the South Glos TSA in 2015, where schools and expertise within the alliance have provided Initial Teacher Training, high quality CPD and school to school support. For the last three year, Sian has also been the Teaching School Council Representative for the region. She also leads the work of the Mangotsfield Primary English Hub working with schools in Gloucestershire, South Glos and B&NES to improve early reading.
Sian feels it is a real privilege to be able to build upon the partnerships grown and sustained over the past number of years in this region and beyond, to work collectively and collaboratively to harness the expertise and experience there is to ensure the new Hubs are successful in providing teacher at all levels with high quality professional development and to ultimately improve outcomes for pupils.
