Mentoring Matters Conferences
Calling all ITT and ECT mentors!
A conference for ITT & ECT mentors. An opportunity for CPD and networking.
This February Five Counties Alliance is hosting a conference for all colleagues involved in mentoring beginning teachers in Initial Teacher Training or Early Career Teacher programmes.
The conference will take place in two locations on Thursday 4th February 2027 in Taunton and again in Bristol on Friday 5th February 2027.
Joining us will be two guest speakers.
Our keynote speaker Tom Sherrington is the Director of Teaching Walkthrus and an author. He writes the popular blog teacherhead.com and his books include The Learning Rainforest and best-seller Rosenshine’s Principles in Action. Most recently he co-authored the popular Teaching WalkThrus series with Oliver Caviglioli, reaching 50 countries worldwide.
Also speaking will be Keith Ford. Keith is NASBTT Interim Chair Elect. He will be providing ITT/ECTE sector updates. Keith has over 25 years’ experience in primary teaching as a class teacher, middle leader, senior leader and Head teacher of both a small rural school and a large Primary School including Autism Centre.
The aims of this event are for participants to hear expert input and to share and discuss mentoring approaches.
We hope you can join us for this opportunity for CPD, networking, enjoying a nice lunch and celebrating the successes and importance of the work you do!
Our programme for the day is still being finalised but register here now and you will be sent the Agenda as soon as it is released!
