Drop-in support sessions for Induction Tutors
Termly IT topic specific drop in sessions:
Are you a new or experienced induction tutor working with ECTs? Would you like some support with aspects of the role? We have a number of short, helpful sessions running across the year. These give you 20 minutes on a particular theme and some time to have any queries answered in a personalised Q&A with an experienced Induction Tutor and Quality Assurance Officer (QAO) or a member of the AB admin team.
Here are the sessions for the year ahead:
The sessions are facilitated by a Quality Assurance Officer from the Appropriate Body team and Paul Clark who is an experienced Induction Tutor. All sessions commence at 4pm and finish by 5pm at the latest.
All sessions which have already taken place are available to view via the Documents section within ECT Manager
Session 1 – 18th September 2024 | Term 1 for new Induction Tutors: managing engagement and quality and preparing for and managing progress reviews |
Session 2 – 2nd October 2024 | Term 1 for experienced Induction Tutors: managing engagement and quality and preparing for and managing progress reviews |
Session 3 – 20th November 2024 | Managing and supporting ECTs causing concern |
Session 4 – 29th January 2025 | Preparing for and managing assessments |
Session 5 – 25th March 2025 | Managing special circumstances – for example, reductions to induction, extensions, maternity / paternity / adoption, sickness and absence |
Session 6 – 12th June 2025 | Overview of the registration process and of the Induction Tutor role |
